Blackmore is the editor of Safety at Sea International (SASI) which for 40 years has been the world’s only magazine dedicated to maritime safety. Before joining SASI in December 2008, Blackmore was the editor of Seafarer, the magazine of the maritime charity, The Marine Society & Sea Cadets. He was nominated for the Desmond Wettern Media Award at the 2008 Maritime Media Awards for his work on the title.

Dr. J. Peter Pham is the Director of the Michael S. Ansari Africa Center at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC.

Dr. Pham was previously Senior Vice President of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, and editor of its bimonthly journal, American Foreign Policy Interests. He was also a tenured associate professor of Justice Studies, Political Science, and Africana Studies at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where he was director of the Nelson Institute for International and Public Affairs.
