Jerusalem blast 300x166 MEDIA ALERT: Bomb Blast in Jerusalem amid Rising Violence between Hamas and Israel

JERUSALEM–At least 20 people were wounded as a bus in Jerusalem was hit by a bomb

  • An explosive device, left in a bag by the road, went off next to a bus in central Jerusalem
  • More than 20 people have been wounded, with at least 4 of them seriously hurt
  • The attack happened in the context of recently escalating violence between Hamas and Israel
  • On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes and artillery conducted strikes in Gaza in which 4 civilians were killed, 3 of them children
  • The Israeli strikes were in retaliation to rockets fired by Hamas into southern Israel, which injured one person
