Chung Jae-Ho is Professor of International Relations at the Seoul National University. Dr. Chung has specialized in politics and policy implementation of Post-Mao China. He was Assistant and Associate Professor at the University from 1996 to 2004.
Dr. Chung has PhD in political science from University of Michigan (1993), MA. in Modern Chinese History from Brown University (1985) and BA in Korean Language and Literature from Seoul National University (1983).
His previous academic posts include: Visiting Professor at Renmin University, China (2007-2008); Visiting Senior Fellow at National University of Singapore (2004); CNAPS Fellow at The Brookings Institution, (2002-2003); Assistant professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (1993-1996) and Visiting Fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2001), among others.
He has served as Advisory Council Member at Ministry of Unification (2004 – 2006); Advisory Council Member of National Security Council (2003 – 2006); Advisory Council Member of Korea Foundation (2004-) and Founding Coordinator of Asian Network for the Study of Local China (ANSLoC, 2006 -), among others.
