Fabrizio Gilardi is Associate Professor of public policy at the Department of Political Science and at the Center for Comparative and International Studies, University of Zurich, Switzerland.
He studied political science at the University of Geneva and obtained a PhD in political science at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to joining the University of Zurich, Fabrizio Gilardi was a visiting scholar at the Weatherhead Center of International Affairs, Harvard University.
His teaching and research concentrates in various areas of public policy and political science such as regulatory policies and institutions, political delegation and institutions, health care, and tax policy. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, the Journal of European Public Policy, and the Journal of Theoretical Politics, among others. He is also the author of a book on independent regulatory agencies in Europe (Edward Elgar, 2008), and the co-editor of a volume on delegation in contemporary democracies (Routledge, 2006).
