Barbara Faedda2 Barbara FaeddaBarbara Faedda is Associate Director and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University.

She is co-author of the book Luoghi di frontiera. Antropologia delle mediazioni and author of  I mille volti della moda, and is a contributor to various books and manuscripts from Il Mulino and other publishers.

Her recent publications include: “Emozioni e paure. Come la politica utilizza l’Altro”, in Politica ed emozioni nella storia d’Italia dal 1848 ad oggi, (P.Morris, F.Ricatti, M.Seymour, eds., Viella 2012); and “We are not racists, but we do not want immigrants”, in Integration, Globalization and Racialization: Theories and Perspectives on Immigration, (J.Capetillo, G.Jacobs, P.Kretsedemas, eds., Routledge 2012).

She is a member of the editorial staff of the journal Gli Stranieri, Rivista di studi, giurisprudenza e legislazione, the law journal Diritto & Diritti, and of, the professional journal of law and social sciences of the “Roma Tre” University Law School.

Dr. Faedda is a member of the Immigration Research Group at Columbia University’s Council for European Studies.
