neave oclery Neave OCleryNeave O’Clery is a Wellcome Trust Doctoral Researcher in Applied Mathematics for Molecular Biology at Imperial College, London.

Ms. O’Clery  is currently Deputy Director-General of Model European Union 2010, a project run in association with Youth in Action and the European Commission that will bring together 200 young Europeans for one week at the center of the European democratic process, the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. Knowledgeable on issues affecting European Youth and their interaction with the European Union, she actively works to promote debate on issues of European politics and identity among young people.

She is the editor and co-founder of A Global Village, a pioneering project at Imperial College to encourage young scientists to both learn and write about international affairs inside and outside the realm of science, and in doing so, to bridge the gap between the scientists and policy-makers of the future.

Ms. O’Clery was previously an MSc student in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing at Lincoln College, Oxford following her undergraduate studies in Mathematics at University College Dublin. She also was a visiting student and research assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne.
