Alberto Priego is an expert on issues concerning the Caucasus and Central Asia. He is a professor at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Madrid.
Dr. Priego has been a researcher for the International Studies Department in the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Visiting Scholar at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He is the author of The Evolution of the Conflict in Chechnya, The Creation of the Azerbaijani Identity and its Influence on Foreign Policy, and Georgia: Another Velvet Revolution?, among other publications. He has worked as a guest researcher in the East-West Institute and in the Center for Euro-Asian Studies.
