Dr. Marta Sofía López is Senior Lecturer at Universidad de León, Spain. She has specialized in Postcolonial and Women’s Literature.
She has published widely on the field of African Women’s Literature in particular. She leads the international research group “Afroeurope@s: Culturas e Identidades Negras en Europa” and directs the team’s electronic journal “AFROEUROPA. A Journal of Afroeuropean Studies.”
She has organized several international conferences on African Studies and Women’s Studies. She has also translated Ngugi wa Thiong’o and Chinua Achebe into Spanish.
