Dr. Paola Gaeta is the Professor in International Law at Florence University and Professor of International Criminal Law at the Law Faculty of Geneva, in addition to being Director of the L.L.M. Program of the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
She has served as a Visiting Fellow at the Research Center for International Law, Cambridge-UK; Researcher at the T.M.C. Asser Institute, The Hague; Attachée de recherché, Chaire internationale de recherche “ Blaise Pascal 2002â€; Centre de droit pénal comparé, Université de Paris 1, as well as serving as legal assistant to the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Criminal Justice and of the Advisory Scientific Committee of the European Journal of International Law. In February 2010, she joined the Graduate Institute of International and Developments Studies in Geneva as Adjunct Professor.
Her publications include The UN Genocide Convention: A Commentary, Interim measures taken by International courts and tribunals and The Statute of the International Criminal Court: A Commentary. She also published numerous articles on public international law, international humanitarian law and international criminal law.
