Paul Gunton is the UK Based Editor-in-Chief of Safety at Sea International and Ports & Harbors magazines. He graduated with a BSc in Ship Science from Southampton University in 1978 and spent two years as a naval architect for Vickers Shipbuilders, based at its ship model experiment tank.
In 1980, he joined The Motor Ship, a technical shipping magazine and in 1987 he moved to Lloyd’s of London Press to edit the monthly magazine Lloyd’s Ship Manager. He joined Fairplay Publications, in 1996, to launch a technical magazine, Fairplay Solutions and has since edited Fairplay Shipping Weekly and Safety at Sea International and is now Managing Editor of all the company’s five magazines and five news services. He is well respected within the industry.
Gunton is available to give interviews and comment on a wide range of commercial shipping subjects including: Technical developments, ship management and operations, international shipping regulations.
