Ainhoa Marin-Egoscozabal is Professor of International, European and Spanish Economics at Nebrija University, and member of the African Studies Group at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She has worked for the Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and the UN Development Programme. Alberto Priego is an expert on issues concerning Caucasus and Central Asia. He is a professor at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Madrid.

Dr. Priego has been a researcher for the International Studies Department in the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Visiting Scholar at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He is the author of The Evolution of the Conflict in Chechnya, The Creation of the Azerbaijani Identity and its Influence on Foreign Policy, and Georgia: Another Velvet Revolution?, among other publications. He has worked as a guest researcher in the East-West Institute and in the Center for Euro-Asian Studies.
