He has particular interest and expertise in global Islamist terrorism and political risks in Latin America.</strong></p>
<p>Matthew graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Masters in International Relations and Spanish, where he focused on international terrorism. While at St Andrews, Matthew worked on the Latin America desk at the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV), and worked on producing a major energy security conference in conjunction with the Royal College of Defence Studies, London. He is currently working on a part-time law degree at BPP College, London.</p>
<p>Matthew has contributed articles on international security related issues to a number of publications, including Jane&#8217;s Intelligence Review and has commented on international security issues to the media, including CNN, Reuters, The Los Angeles Times and Le Figaro.</p>
<p>He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) and Chatham House and has participated in a number of international security conferences including the annual IISS Global Strategic Review. Matthew has lived, worked and studied in Latin America, Turkey, Spain and the US. He speaks fluent Spanish.</p>

Her role involves political and security intelligence gathering and analysis, both in support of Janusian security operations and directly for clients around the world. This includes a daily intelligence alerting service, responding to security events in the Middle East and North Africa as they happen. She also regularly contributes to Janusian&#8217;s intelligence products and publications.</strong></p>
<p>Metsa&#8217;s regional areas of expertise include the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, with a particular focus on Iranian security and political issues. She also specialises in nuclear proliferation issues.</p>
<p>She has contributed to several media outlets on these particular subjects, including BBC, Reuters, CNN, and various smaller outlets including print.</p>
<p>Metsa previously worked as a security consultant and operations officer for an NGO operating in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Prior to that, she worked in several leading European think tanks, and headed a programme in Spain on global political Islam, off the back of the Alliance of Civilizations. Metsa has also worked as a journalist, commenting on Iranian affairs, and at the public information department of the UNHCR.</p>
<p>Metsa holds a Masters in International Security from Sciences Po in Paris, a BA in International Studies and French from Warwick University, and a certificate of political studies from the Institute d&#8217;Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux. Her postgraduate studies covered a wide range of security issues, with a particular focus on Middle Eastern affairs and nuclear proliferation.</p>

<p>He has worked in the security consultancy industry since 1998, assisting predominantly commercial clients to identify, quantify and manage the risk to their operations from terrorism and other forms of asymmetric warfare. He was involved in establishing the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews, and was operational director of the Centre prior to entering the private sector. He received his PhD in international relations from the University of St Andrews.</p>

His principal areas of expertise are in the politics of Central and Eastern Europe and he has specialist interests in Czech politics, the centre-right, the emergence of new populist parties and the political representation of older people in Eastern Europe<br />

He studied Russian and French at the University of Leeds before completing postgraduate degrees in East European politics at the University of Birmingham. He joined UCL in 2003 having previously lectured at Brunel University, West London.</p>
<p>He has published widely on Central and East European politics in academic journals as well as engaging with policymakers and business users. He has briefed UK ambassadors to the Czech Republic and writes regularly on Eastern Europe for publications from the Economist Intelligence Unit and Oxford Analytica. He has authored briefings and articles on the region for Chatham House and commented on events in the region for ABC Radio and Bloomberg and<em> The Economist</em> podcasts.</p>
<p>He is author of<em> The New Right in the New Europe: Czech Transformation and Right-Wing Politics</em>, <em>1989-2006</em> and also writes a regular blog on Central and East European affairs at <a href="http://drseansdiary.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">http://drseansdiary.blogspot.com/</a>.</p>

<p>Shereen started her professional life in medical science, with a doctorate in immunology from the University of Cambridge, before going on to become an award-winning healthcare correspondent with<em> The Economist </em>and a presenter with <em>Al Jazeera English</em>.</p>

<p>She is the former vice-chair of the <a href="http://www.hivlawcommission.org/" target="_blank">UN&#8217;s Global Commission on HIV and the Law</a>, as well as a <a href="http://www.ted.com/talks/shereen_el_feki_how_to_fight_an_epidemic_of_bad_laws.html" target="_blank">TED Global Fellow</a>. Shereen sits on the board of several civil society groups working in the Arab region, among them Meedan and the Arab Forum for Freedoms and Equality. Shereen also contributes to a number of publications, among them <em>The</em> <em>Huffington Post</em>, <em>International Affairs</em> and has written widely on women, sexuality and HIV in the Arab region. With roots in Egypt and Wales, Shereen grew up in Canada; she now divides her time between London and Cairo.</p>

<p>The Three Faiths Forum facilitates dialogue, leading to action with people from other faiths, and those who do not subscribe to any religion. Since joining in 2005, Mr. Shashoua has initiated the intercultural/interfaith programmatic work of the forum in education and mentoring. His key accomplishments as director have been the launch of an educational branch in the Middle East and the initiation of new relationships between Muslim, Christian and Jewish community leaders and single faith organisations.</p>
<p>He holds degrees in journalism, anthropology, education and English literature and is co-founder of “Iraq in Common”, a project for those of Iraqi descent of different faiths. Mr. Shashoua was born in Canada, and is of Iraqi-Jewish descent.</p>
